1- SWITCH-HOW TO CHANGE THINGS WHEN CHANGE IS HARD

Hello
Switch is the first book and I like it the most as it is challenging.
I am returning to it today adding something more.

Change is one of the things that everyone finds difficult to accept. I believe that this comes from the FEAR. If anyone of us stops for some seconds and thinks about his decisions and his way of doing thinks he will realize that most of the occasions (90% of them) his behavior and his reactions have been affected by the fear of the unknown of the new and not experienced things.

There is no way of defeating this fear but however there are ways around it . These ways are more easy in educated people as a instructed analytical mind is more pro in accepting logical things. The difficulty is with the majority of the population and it is in here that the capable can show their ways and achieve success or defeat.

  1. Hi,

"CHANGE" is difficult, because it seems that you will loose yourself and identity.
But sometimes it is needed to change, to interact, to integrate, and if this comes gradually is the best way, as you feel more secure and convinced in what you do.
Even in the companies, you have to resist in time by adequateness..

    Thank you!

  2. "fear of the unknown of the new and not experienced things"- impressed me as i am the person who feels this every time i have to make a decison.
but in my opinion people should leave the fear apart and go on with changes.

  3. Adding to the fear of the unknown, one should be cautious not to be tempted to believe and act according to the "equivocal" news from the future. In Macbeth by Shakespeare, the three witches give such news from the futre to the him, and cause his tragedy, at the end. Macbeth dies at the end seeing that one by one all the predictions of the witches, that he will be a king, he will not fail until forrest moves, he will not be killed by a man born from mother all are just demonic lies containing misleading pieces of truth. Our mind has a natural security which protects us from these evil predictions from future, but wrath, pride, lust, vanity, despair, neglect and greed makes us blind to see the real truth.
