Despite the fact that Albania has been an isolated country, it has produced many qualified specialists that after 90-s left the country and went to show and put in use their talent and capabilities in the western countries. Such a thing was very pity and costly for Albania. The leak of the talents continued and it took more than another decade to have a new generation of the creative class. Actually the Albanian economy have reached a certain status that is requiring the return of the creative class. Few cases are very hopeful and encouraging for all the talent to come and use it in their country. Albania is trying to "import " its own creative class. I mean the Albanian talents that are educated abroad.
On the other side the educational system is giving a modest help on this process. The improvement of the educational system will generate enough qualified elements, which will give their contribution on the country development. Only than we can say that the "import" of the talents will not be a must. I not only hope, i believe that one day Albania will have enough creative class to fly over the country (from one district to another) or abroad and be proud of it.
As you said bringing up a better generation is the most important case in every country. Bringing up a more talented and deep generations and giving them more to the point education are the first concerns for any country.

Dear sir
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned about brain drain in Albania after the communist regime collapsed. It is a natural cause of events. Russia suffered from the same troubles.I also believe that your country is changing step by step.As a teacher I can speak with certainty about education.I think it is coming to different level and you have really many talented girls and boys who will be able to change your country, I think.

ReplyDeleteDear Afrim
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely true that Albania needs a creative class right now, we need people with different background who have experienced the Western World and they are ready to implement what they know in the skills of enterprenours and rules so we can advance and be part of the EU.
We hope and wish that one day Albania will be managed by the creative class emigrated on the last decades.

ReplyDeleteIt is true that the creative class of Albania flew during the last two decade, and it is still continuing to fly even today. It will take time until Albania will be managed by its creative class.
ReplyDeleteIt is clearly stated in the book that countries that offer freedom, equal human rights and secured social life tend to be the right places where people could live and this is what inspires and make people creative. It is freedom, equality, and the belief in the human capabilities that harness creativity. Our nation has not achieved to harness the creative energy that Albanians have inside.
