"OBLIQUITY" Why our goals achieved best indirectly

All of us use short cut ways to be able to reach our goals by using easiest or fastest way. Some ways can look like short cut but they can be deceptive. The important thing is these ways can change according to the person, conditions, abilities, times… So it means our plans should be changeable!

For an easy example, we can plan to use longest way because of the traffic at the shortest way. In spite of the shortest way, the easiest way is longest way. If there is a accident or something like that on the preferred way! What we should do?

We can decide to wait on that way or find another way to go where we want. I mean the important thing is “do we look for alternative opportunities and use them or waiting without doing anything”. Are we and our plans flexible enough?

Maybe for that reason our goals are achieved indirectly way. There are a lot of dynamic factors which influent our plans and therefor if our plan is not flexible enough, it is really difficult to reach our goals. So plans should be as flexible as to keep up with dynamic environment.

  1. Changing a plan in different directions can sometime help you see and correct mistakes that could ruin the flexibility of the plan,

  2. Dear Burcin,
I agree with you saying that “plans should be as flexible as to keep up with dynamic environment” So we always must have a Plan B and use it in cases when our Plan A fails. In this way we are always prepared for the unexpected situations and our Plan B can help us to reach our goals as we intended.
