USA is a kind of world magnet for the qualified people. WHY?
I think it is heart of the world: the center of economy, movies, most known and quality schools, technology...
According to some economist, in the future (maybe in 50 years) US position might change. I mean 20th century was American century and in the beginning of 21th century it has began to change. They think America will start to follow Europe countries and Japan. For example in the technology, American companies didn't compete with other companies in the past because they were leader but today they realize that something is going different.
When I think about this idea, it seems right. Yes still USA is leader but I think other countries in a big competition between America and each other and this competition force people to find new ideas and have development process. Maybe in the end of 21th century, the result might be different.
What do u think? Which countries will be leader at the end of 21th century?

USA was unpredictable all these years and I think it will continue to surprise us in many angles. Therefore, taking US as a role model may serve to many competitive countries,

ReplyDeletei read very careful your blog and your point of view in my opinion is right. until now as every body know USA was separate (geographic)from the rest of the influencing super powers (not direct involved in wars of big conflicts) and this fact has helped very much USA.
but now in a global word world every think has changed, so also the USA has to to re-dimension its position in order to not to lose its leader position in the future.

ReplyDeleteI agree with your post and would like only to add something more. Like all the powers of the history USA will decline someday. In nowadays world it means not being able to attract the well prepare minds and not being able to make them grow. It is happening, India, Brazil are keeping their minds and developing them also.

As an answer to your final question, I don't think that Europe or Japan will be the leading countries in the 21st century. Europe had and used that chance before but used very badly, and Japan had that chance to some extent but couldn't become a leader. I don't think they are getting ahead of others since they just stopped in their last position. I guess some others we should take into consideration. There is a country in my mind but I'd better not say because of 'Groundswell'.

I still vote for America and her capacity to overcome their actual situation, but i don't know what has the future reserved for us. i vote for it as her population is various, different education, backgrounds and experiences and is like to say that still now they have almost the best of the world there.
