To collect information and organize them well is a kind of success but to comment it right and derive some new ideas is another kind of success. I think Mr. Florida fails in the second part that requires a creative mind. Although his proposal to move some industries, business etc. to some areas where more talented and creative people for those kinds of jobs live might be worth taking into consideration, his ideas seem dim and superficial. Especially his idea about more gay-populated areas beats it all. Another thing that I can’t agree on is that meanwhile some fast growing countries with great populations are on the verge of swallowing the planet, Mr. Florida is worried about the challenge from Scandinavia. Mr. Florida claims that real competitive challenge is going to come from Scandinavian countries. High standards of living doesn’t always bring huge challenges. On the contrary, you should be worried about eager and ambitious ones with great growth rate and incredible population may serve well. And IF creativity and talent are really the key words for future challenge and power, I guess you can find more of them among more than a billion people even though population doesn’t necessarily make a country/nation more creative or clever on the average. I’m not going to deny the value of creativity and talent but long and short-term solutions and plans should be applied at the same time. And he is the genius one who brings up a better generation and it (bringing up a better generation) demands sincerity as well. The foundation/base is cracking down but they spend more time on the decoration of the living room. It’s their sway, I guess.
