Groundswell

Did you notice how many of the last 10 "Big Thing"s are related to Internet and technology. In 1960s the big thing was to land on the moon, now the big thing is Facebook. Among the last 10, there's nothing but internet. E-mail, Google, Wikipedia, Youtube, Facebook, is providing a pattern of changing the lives of billions of people. If lives change so must the businesses and way how business is done. This is what this book is about. It gives the roadmap of transformation to the business world; how to gain, serve and retain customers different from the 1980s and even 1990s. Also since the first decade of 21st century is over, we'll see how this groundswell will widen it's area of hegemony from the daily life and business into politics and global economy. Idea of having a global system was an utopia for many of the philosophers and politicians of 19th century. Now the world is so close to it but the complexity of the situation increases as we come closer to it.
