BOOK 8. IMMUNITY TO CHANGE

Most of people every morning wake up with new plans, ideas in order to change the life but unfortunately at the end of the day , they see that everything is in the same place.
In Turkey there are a lot of housewives and they do the same things every day. Cleaning house, cooking, looking after children, watching the same programs on TV like soup operas . Every single day, they do same things. Some of them read books, newspapers or attend different activities, courses but most of them don`t do these. I know many housewives who don`t improve themselves. Of course there are some special cases, one of my friends after winning the university she married and left the school. She has a daughter eight years old. My friend was a house wife for nine years but she decided to start the university again and she studied and won. She will be a Turkish teacher. Now she is in first class and she is the most successful student in the class.
We all know Change is difficult but if the people desire,Change is easy!

  1. Hi Nihal,

To have immunity, it is like to have barriers to cross the border, or difficulties to pass the different stages.

As live is made of stages and changes we should adapt to this stages in order to survive and live better.

Regarding the housewives i think for them has become a way of life, and they deserve the called "monotony". It depends even the kind of person.

Any way as companies have to be flexible, persons also has to be so in order to be coherent.

    Thank You!

  2. Yes Nihal, sometimes desire makes the change easy, but in the example of your friend, I think it's not the change which prevailed. I think the return to the initial desire should not be considered as a change. If it was not at first your friend had started university and changed herself from being a housewife into a higher educated person, then I would have considered it as overcoming immunity to change. Now this is more like example of Obliquity for me. Going in one route for some time to return to the initial objective after trying other things.
    Regards,
    Mehmet
