Today, we discussed about Chinese goods how they are quality or no quality.
If we are talking about Chinese goods, usually we have some prejudice to them as Florian mentioned in the class. Why?
As you remember we saw some examples in the lecture of “immunity to change”. Our beliefs affect what data we select next time and we take actions based on our beliefs. I have prepared an example for Chinese goods and maybe that picture can be good example for this.

ReplyDeleteHi Burçin,
ReplyDeleteYou're right in the sense that prejudices are part of the accumulated conscious or subconscious feelings in the course of time. Chinese goods are considered as lower quality as a very common judgement among people all over the world, but as I have stated in my opinion about the book "Immunity to Change" not all prejudices or existing immunity should be removed from our minds. We should keep some kind of protective barrier not to lose energy by changing randomly without setting a threshold and make an estimate first, in terms of cost/benefit of the change.
