The New Trends and Concepts 2010: Groundswell

In Education Field , companies ( colleges , universities ) use these technologies in their work.
Facebook , Twitter ( in these days how twitter can be used in university or college lessons is discussed between educators)
one of the professor in USA used this twitter over his students .
he grouped his students and they discuss their projects over twitter and he realized that students activities in their project are increased.
maybe twitter has restricted characters but this social network can be used in education .
at least it helps and gives different ideas
it makes difference.
also   when i  search in net ,  i found different experiments about twitter usage in education .

  1. I think the book “Groundswell” is great and the authors (Charlene Li & Josh Bernoff) were clear in giving the right message to the readers. But on the other hand if you are not from Twitter / Facebook generation then on the first few chapters you will be a bit bored and maybe then only interesting things would be the stories of real life, including the authors. Stories have managed to hold the interest and the suspension long enough to continue reading the book to the next chapters.
On my opinion media and marketing are moving more and more towards the consumer and the consumer feels that his needs are being listen and produced. And to reach to your customers, you should understand better how the new media worlds of facebook, blogs, twitter etc work. And if you do not do this, could your business practice in the next five to ten years out of date.
I think I liked most about the book is that it recognizes that the real power has shifted into the business world, and it seems to shift to consumers. Television and radio advertising is no longer dominate our lives. Rather, Internet forums, blogs and social networking sites are the new wave of marketing. YouTube has taken the place of the TV commercials.
