Hi Everybody,
I would like to mention the story of Milk.
In order to ride the elephant it is needed A concrete picture to show them the way how to switch however it is hard, even in the case of Milk (if you drink one glass of Raw milk it is equal to 5 slices of bacon). The same thing can work in the company using Performance appraisal. Performance is a function of the results, or what an employee accomplishes, and the Results are identified & measured by objectives (e.g. financial KPI’s, operational KPI’s, etc.). The overall approach in the company must be the demonstration of the appropriate behaviors of the employees and to allow the individual and the manager to reflect in the areas that the individual might need development in order to meet his/hers and the company’s goals.
Thank you,
With best regards
Elda
Dear Elda,
ReplyDeleteCompanies rarely leave space to the individuals and managers to decide for the areas they might need developments. Generally there some policies and according to the budget company has for this kind of activities. And here we become the ones that follow the decisions from top to down, which in many cases is something wrong, because it is individual itself that has to define the areas he/she needs to develop.
